Digitalisation & Intelligence in Finance Industry
On March 26, the Digitalisation & Intelligence in Financial Industry Live Webinar hosted by Malaysia Institute of Accountant (MIA) in partnership with yonyou Malaysia was grandly held. The pandemic has brought different challenges and opportunities to the current Malaysian economy and various industries. Changes in the finance industry are not only going to increase the reach of technology but will also impact brick and mortar businesses.
As technologies continue to advance, enterprises must continue to invest in technology and modernize their technology platforms and data storage so they can enable big data solutions, robotics, and other workflow automation tools to increase their efficiency and reduce the costs associated with operational, risk management, and compliance.
The webinar was honored to have the participation of Mr. Koong Lin Loong, the Managing Partner of Reanda LLKG International, Mr. Chen Jiayao, the CFO of XSD International Group, and Mr. Sufien Monteiro, the senior industry consultant of Yonyou Malaysia as one of the keynote speakers.
Mr. Sufian is a senior industry consultant with Yonyou Malaysia after a long career with a multinational company. During the webinar, he had shared the current trend of adopting technology in the accounting and finance industry. Besides that, he also covered sharing insights to the audiences on how advances in the financial industry will affect other businesses.
Mr. Koong also shared current market insight such as the impact of the Covid-19 on the economy and companies, the statistic of technology adoption by the accountancy profession in Malaysia. What are the resources available to relieve the financial burden for enterprises to digitalize? Mr. Chen Jiayao is currently the CFO of XSD International Group. He has over twenty years of working experience in the financial management and accounting field. Based on his experiences, he had shared about the impact transformation will have across the business and managerial decision-making. For example, what the lesson had been learned throughout the transformation journey such as organizational instability, lack of risk management and etc.
